Mansfield Ohio Guild Exhibits Food & Patriotic Quilts

Here's the photo from Mansfield Quilt Guild from their show exhibiting both my patriotic and food for body and soul quilts. They loved the quilts.

This same weekend, the Muncy Historical Museum celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Civil War by exhibiting my circa 1860s quilts included in the Thanking Our Troops--God Bless America Touring Quilts.

Both brought rave reviews as did the QSC Expos Reno, Nv Food for Body and Soul Quilt Exhibit. They sold all 25 1905 Cookbook. Fenley Arts Council exhibited the patriotic quilts the same week-end in Fenley, NV.

Quilted Travel Diary Making Workshop for Altus Teens

July 19 I have the privilege of traveling 3 hours each way to show 10 teenagers at the Altus Library how to make their 22x22" quilted vacation diary of their fave trip. It should be fun. Took all week getting the kits precut and partially sewn with the borders and make the samples. I'll send photos later. Wish me luck.

July 4th Kingfisher Celebration a Blast

Small town America knows how to party! We set up 100 Thanking Our Troops--God Bless America Touring Quilts in the air conditioned (thank goodness) Girl Scout House at the Kingfisher Park. Ninety-three year old Opal Baum and her daughter Ina Smith and Dee Paddack helped me sign books with all profits going for quilts for wounded soldiers and families of the fallen.

Dee sold cooling neckties and survival bracelets for The Hugs Project and had 10 Home of the Brave Quilts that people signed to give to families of the OK fallen soldiers. They loved the exhibit!

Kids had face painting, egg toss games, free swimming in their beautiful new indoor aquatics center and rides on the train and fire engines. They had a big parade, fireworks of course, food booths, art show and a rubber duck race.

The Veterans loved the God Bless America Touring Quilts exhibited at the huge Memorial Day week-end at the 45th Infantry Museum in Oklahoma City.

1905 Cookbook--Food for Body and Soul

I've been shipping out "1905 Cookbook" by the caseloads as it continues to be ordered by cooks, cookbook collectors and for gifts across the nation. All profits go to feed needy children through local church food pantries, orphanages, food banks and homeless shelters.
