Camp Striker Stables in Baghdad Loved Quilts

For the past 3 years, we shipped the Thanking Our Troops--God Bless America Touring Quilts to Camp Striker Stables to cheer the troops who didn't get to come home for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I was sad to find out that the quilts won't be returning this year because the Camp has been turned over to Iraq. If anyone knows another camp or base in Iraq or Afghanistan where we could send them to encourage our troops, please contact me: BuckboardQuilts@cox.net.

Gilbertsville, NY Loved Patriotic Quilts

Diana Heeman reported that they loved the God Bless America Touring Quilts at their Colorfest of Quilts at The Major's Inn in Gilbertsville, NY. She was amazed that men were emotionally moved by the quilts that Thank Our Troops and loved the books also.
Order your "Thanking Our Troops--God Bless America Touring Quilts" books for Christmas gifts and take advantage of the volume discounts. All profits provide quilts for wounded soldiers and families of the fallen.
After all the Veteran Day exhibits, 200 of the 300 quilts will be returned to their owners. The remaining 100 donated quilts will continue to tour through the election year to heal our economically and politically torn nation.

Ocboberfest in Caldwell, KS a Blast

We set up 200 patriotic quilts in one hour in the restored Opera House of this delightful farming community on the Chisholm Trail. The bakery sold 200 dozen kolaches by noon hot out of the oven. The aroma was deadly.
Great fun meeting and eating with the charming members of the Loose Threads who put on the show all for charity and for quilts for wounded soldiers. Dee Paddack rode with me the 2 hours up and back in the rain and had several Home of the Brave Memorial Quilt tops for people to sign to be presented to families of the fallen.
