Free Quilt Show Benefits Regional Food Bank

Route 66 Gallery, 6728 NW 39th, proudly exhibits 200 antique and small art quilts during the Bethany 66 Festival in downtown Bethany, May 25, Saturday, 10-4.
Judy Howard, owner of Buckboard Quilts and author of OK Pioneer 1905 Cookbook—Food for Body and Soul will sign books and curate the free quilt show. Activities also include classic car and motorcycle show, arts, crafts and food vendors and live music by local favorites, sidewalk sales, children's activities and parade. www.Bethany66.com.
All proceeds from the antique and new art quilt sales and 1905 Cookbooks benefit Regional Food Bank. Checks may be written to Regional Food Bank for quilts purchased before and after May 25th also. See sneak preview: www.heavenlypatchwork.com/photos_of_food_for_body_and_soul_quilts.html and www.BuckboardQuilts.com.
Judy Howard’s new cookbook for cooks, foodies and historians is based on recipes from pioneer days in central Oklahoma. 1905 Cookbook will inspire today's cooks regardless of age or sophistication. Recipes like Molasses Drop Cake and Oklahoma’s Delight or Delicious Chicken Pie and Roast Beef with Oyster Dressing entice the taste buds and make you want to keep this book within easy reach to satisfy your body and soul. In addition to this amazing and often amusing collection of 300 epicurean delights, Howard's book is flavored with 200 turn-of-the-century photographs, 1905 merchant ads and stories of our 89er/pioneers who compiled the original cookbook found at a flea market. This cookbook will complement any cook's recipe collection and is the perfect gift for a $15 donation to the Regional Food Bank.

Bring your family and friends for Bethany’s fun Rt. 66 Festival May 25th and help needy children.
